Arriving
Where to fly, and how to reach the lake.
What's the best airport to fly into?＋
Milan Malpensa (MXP) is usually your best bet for international flights and is about an hour from the lake. Milan Linate (LIN) and Bergamo (BGY) are good alternatives, both around 75 minutes away.
How do I get from the airport to the lake?＋
A private transfer or taxi is the easiest (about an hour from Malpensa). Trains also run from Milano Centrale to Como or Varenna in 40–60 minutes, where you can pick up a ferry.
Do I need a car?＋
We'd suggest not. The lakeside towns are tiny, parking is scarce, and the ferries and water taxis connect everything. Leave the car behind and enjoy the water.
Where should I stay?＋

Is there a room block?＋
Yes — a limited block is held under “Isla & Theo” at the Grand Hotel Tremezzo for June 11–13. Book early; the lake fills up in June. You'll find the link on our Travel page.

The Weekend
Getting there, the weather, and what to wear.
How do we get to the ceremony?＋
We'll arrange boats to carry all guests from Tremezzo across to Villa del Balbianello and back again — so there's nothing for you to plan on the wedding day itself. Just be at the pier by 4:00 PM.
What will the weather be like?＋
Mid-June on the lake is lovely — warm, sunny days around 26°C (79°F) and cooler evenings near 15°C (59°F). A light wrap for the evening on the water is a good idea.
Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?＋
The ceremony is outdoors on the villa's loggia, and cocktails are on the open terrace (weather permitting). Dinner and dancing flow between the ballroom and the terrace, so bring a light layer for the night air.
What is the dress code?＋
Black-tie optional, with an editorial, lakeside feel. See The Weekend page for dress-code inspiration and our colour palette.
Can I take photos during the ceremony?＋
We're having an unplugged ceremony — please keep phones and cameras tucked away so everyone can be fully present (and our photographer can catch every moment). Snap away at cocktails and the reception!

When should I RSVP by?＋
Please RSVP no later than March 1, 2027 so we can finalise numbers with the venues. You can respond right here on the site.
Can I bring a plus-one?＋
We can only accommodate the guests named on your invitation and RSVP. If you're unsure, just ask us!
Are children invited?＋
While we adore your little ones, we've planned an adults-only celebration so everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We hope it gives you a well-earned night out.
Do you have a registry?＋
